Toni Storm Outcasts AEW Double or Nothing

Toni Storm isn’t a fan of AEW’s Interim World Championships.

Last night at the Double or Nothing PPV in Las Vegas, Nevada, Toni Storm defeated Jamie Hayter to capture the AEW Women’s World Championship for the second time, following help from her outcast stablemates Saraya and Ruby Soho. Storm’s first reign began at All Out 2022 in Septembee, although it was listed as an interim title until being made official on November 23rd.

During the AEW Double or Nothing post-show media scrum, Storm revealed that last night’s title win felt extra special when compared to her first, adding that she feels as though interim titles are “bullshit”.

“It felt extra special this time. I’m sure we can all agree that the interim thing was bullshit. Right, Tony? Crazy. That was a tough, terrible time. It feels great because this is what it should have been the whole time,”

Heading into last night’s show, reports had claimed that Jamie Hayter was dealing with an injury, and thus, it’s unclear as to whether this title change was planned prior to the former champion getting hurt.

Last night’s show also saw confirmation that Chris Jericho and Saraya will team up to take on Adam Cole and Britt Baker during this week’s Dynamite, and so it appears as though this feud is far from over.
