The Blackpool Combat Club member is said to have had a positive impact on AEW creative in recent weeks.
On May 19th last month, Fightful Select reported that Bryan Danielson would be seeing his creative responsibilities behind the scenes at All Elite Wrestling increase, as the BCC member is set to be heavily involved in the upcoming AEW Collision show.
Ahead of the show’s debut on June 17th, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shared an insight into Danielson’s involvement in the company’s creative process thus far, revealing that he’s believed to be having a positive impact on Tony Khan, with the June 2nd episode a Rampage, a largely positively received show, being cited as an example of Danielson’s influence in effect.
“Bryan Danielson has become more important of late in creative. Danielson last week noted how he and Tony Khan think so much alike as per their views on pro wrestling. Danielson was described as someone who adds good input into any booking conversation. It was said when Khan is booking ideas and he’s in the room with him, he pushes Khan to think harder and improves his thinking, like he adds more enthusiasm to Khan. The 6/2 Rampage show, which from an in-ring wrestling perspective was one of the best one-hour shows the company has done, was an example of Danielson adding to Khan’s outline of the idea of the Championship Friday show.”

Danielson, alongside his Blackpool Combat Club stablemates, currently finds himself at odds with The Elite, although he’ll also have his hands full at Forbidden Door on June 25th, as he’s set to go one-on-one with the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada.
As previously mentioned, Danielson is set to be involved heavily in the creative direction of AEW Collision. This past Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite saw Tony Khan reveal that the main event of the debut episode will see the returning CM Punk team with FTR to take on Samoa Joe and Bullet Club Gold.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Bryan Danielson’s involvement behind the scenes at AEW as soon as we hear more.
