Will Ospreay will have Callum Newman in his corner at AEW All In: London.

During RevPro’s 14th Anniversary show, United Empire needed a fifth member, prompting Will Ospreay to make a surprise return to the promotion roughly 24 hours before the biggest match of his career. Ospreay helped his former faction secure the win before asking his “little brother” Callum Newman to join him at the PPV, just as Ospreay had supported Newman when he won the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship last year.

Newman’s response was delayed, but he ultimately accepted Ospreay’s offer and confirmed that he would be in his corner for the PPV.

For now, at least, the United Empire remains united. However, the events of tonight have thrown several new variables into the equation ahead of tomorrow’s action at Wembley Stadium.

First and foremost, the development could mean Kenny Omega has some company in his corner, whether that comes in the form of the Young Bucks or perhaps even Kota Ibushi. The bigger question, however, is whether Callum Newman could betray Ospreay and cost him the title.

A feud between the two has been building for some time, stemming from Ospreay’s former affiliation with the Death Riders. Newman turning on Ospreay could mark the beginning of that rivalry, while potentially throwing predictions of Ospreay winning the title out the window.

We previously discussed the possibility of Newman playing a role should Ospreay lose the match in our special feature on the main event, which you can read about here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates as AEW All In: London edges nearer as soon as we hear more.
