On May 8th, Charlotte Flair lost an “I Quit” match to the current Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania Backlash, during which Flair broke her arm, resulting in her taking time away from the ring. Shortly after the event, Flair married AEW star Andrade el Idolo, and therefore took additional time away from the company. Charlotte is yet to reappear on WWE, although it now appears as though her return is on the horizon.
During the recent Extreme Rules premium live event, WWE aired a vignette teasing the return of the former multi-time women’s champions, and now Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided an update on Flair, noting that she’s expected to return to the company soon.
“Charlotte Flair is scheduled to return soon.”

At the time of writing, little is known about what the plans will be for Flair upon her return, although she is still currently listed as a member of the Smackdown roster, and thus a return to the blue brand appears likely.
Flair has certainly been missed during her absence, and we look forward to seeing what’s in store for her when she eventually makes her return to the ring.
