It’s been reported that CM Punk and The Elite were kept apart at last night’s Forbidden Door.

On Saturday, June 17, CM Punk made his triumphant return to All Elite Wrestling, bringing nine months of speculation over his in-ring future to an end. Though, many are still skeptical over how the Chicago-born star will reintegrate with the AEW locker room and in particular The Elite, who he had physical altercation with last September.

AEW recently introduced ‘Collision’ as a new Saturday show, which would help to separate members of the roster if necessary without the need for a definitive brand split. While Punk and The Elite can be on different weekly schedules, it’s still possible for their oaths to cross at pay-per-views.

To combat this, Fightful Select have revealed that Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks were kept on different sides of the arena for last night’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door show.

“Kenny Omega & the Young Bucks and CM Punk were put on completely different sides of the building at Forbidden Door, we’re told.”

CM Punk was victorious over Satoshi Kojima at last night’s show and thus progressed into the semi final of the Owen Hart tournament, where he will battle either Samoa Joe or Roderick Strong.

As for The Elite, The Young Bucks were on the winning side in their ten man tag while Kenny Omega lost his IWGP United States Championship to Will Ospreay in a jaw dropping encounter.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the dynamic between CM Punk and The Elite as we hear more.
