The latest has emerged on whether Cody Rhodes has extended his stay with WWE.
Over the past couple of months, WWE have been rampant when it comes to offering contract renewals to their top stars. Names like Bayley, Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega are just some of those who have recently signed new deals with the company, and Cody Rhodes’ name has recently come up with regard to potentially putting pen to paper on a new contract with WWE.
To provide the latest update on The American Nightmare’s contract status, Dave Meltzer has written in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Cody Rhodes actually agreed terms on a new contract back in October, despite it going unreported at the time. It’s believed that his new deal is ‘very long-term’ with a substantial increase in terms of pay.
“While it didn’t go reported at the time, Rhodes agreed to terms for a new multi-year deal back in October. As we noted, a lot of the talent which still had existing time left on their deals had been offered very long-term new deals at substantial increases in pay in recent months.”

Rhodes is just one of many who WWE will surely be desperate to retain as we head into 2024, with the contract situations of both Drew McIntyre and Sheamus still appearing to be unresolved as things stand. All in all, the next 12 months are set to be huge in terms of talent contract negotiations across WWE, AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Cody Rhodes’ contract status as we hear more.
