Per reports, WWE have expressed interest in working with STARDOM.

On December 23, All Japan Pro Wrestling first teased a working relationship between themselves and WWE. The Japanese company had been setting up an ‘assassin’ to challenge for the AJPW Triple Crown Championship following the upcoming match between Katsuhiko Nakajima and Kento Miyahara, and, as later revealed by William Regal, NXT’s Charlie Dempsey will soon be making his debut in All Japan.

Following this, it now seems as if WWE are looking to extend olive branches to even more international promotions. Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s been suggested that WWE are interested in working with World Wonder Ring Stardom, the biggest Joshi company in Japan.

“Besides the new deal working with All Japan, WWE has also expressed interest in working with Stardom. Nothing is finalized that we know of regarding that but WWE is confirmed interested.”

-Dave Meltzer

This comes just months after reports of WWE’s interest in current NJPW Strong Women’s and Artist of Stardom Champion Giulia, with the company possibly using a working relationship to their aid when it comes to potentially poaching top stars in the future. Of course, we’ll have to see how the situation develops.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on a possible working relationship between WWE and STARDOM as we hear more.
