The current internal plan for the main event of AEW’s upcoming PPV show, ‘All Out’ has seemingly been revealed.
This comes following CM Punk’s return to AEW last week on their ‘Quake by the Lake’ special. Foreseeably setting up a mouthwatering title vs title match at All Out with Jon Moxley holding the Interim version of Punk’s gold. Although, there has since been confusion over the event after it was announced this Wednesday that AEW Champion CM Punk and Interim Champion Jon Moxley will have their unification bout next week on Dynamite after some heated exchanges on this weeks show.
Fans have been speculating over what this means for the September 4 show. Though, Dave Meltzer stated in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that CM Punk and Jon Moxley’ match is still scheduled for All Out in Chicago.
Currently the 9/4 All Out PPV has C.M. Punk vs. Jon Moxley for both belts (this is not announced and not 100 percent but it is being talked about as the current plan and there doesn’t appear to be a backup plan).
-WON.
The absence of a backup plan suggests that the unification match really is the plan for the show. The match is still internally listed as taking place though fans will be on the edge of their seat as we progress through the next few weeks of Dynamite leading up to September 4.
