Dragon Lee announced via X (formerly Twitter) last night that his visa was unfortunately held up due to the December holiday and that the issue would be not resolved in time for Dragon Lee to travel to appear at New Year’s Evil.

According to a new report from PWInsider, there are no current issues with Dragon Lee’s work visa in the United States, noting that it has, in fact, been approved.

“We are told that there are no imminent issues with Dragon Lee’s new work visa for WWE in the United States and that it has been approved, except that due to the holidays, it did not arrive in time for him to travel back to the United States in order to work NXT New Year’s Evil.”

A quick return for Dragon Lee is expected according to the report, with this Friday’s SmackDown potentially being on the cards should the NXT North American Champion physically obtain his visa.

Lee was originally set to team with the LWO’s Cruz del Toro and Jaoquin Wilde to take on three members of the No Quarter Catch Crew, and a surprise replacement is now planned.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Dragon Lee’s visa status as soon as we hear more.
