Drew McIntyre hasn’t renewed his WWE contract as of yet, per recent reports.

The former WWE Champion is set to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title this Saturday at Crown Jewel, though that isn’t to say that the the Scotsman has committed his future to the company. In fact, to provide the latest update into McIntyre’s WWE status, Fightful Select have clarified that the 38-year-old is still yet to put pen to paper on an extension of any kind.

“As of now, we’re told that Drew Mcintyre has not signed a new contract with WWE. There had been some Twitter rumors indicating he had re-signed, but according to what he and WWE have told people, that’s not true.”

The report goes on to link Drew’s contract situation to the recent merger between WWE and UFC which officially closed in September. McIntyre will become the first major name to have their deal come up for renewal under the banner of the newly formed TKO Group, so the company will have to make a lot of key decisions in the coming months about which talent they choose to re-sign.

Interestingly, Fightful also note that there are some other currently contracted WWE stars whose deals are set to expire in 2024. In particular, Becky Lynch is listed as someone to keep an eye on in the next 12 months, as the process of contract renewals will likely kick into gear in the near future.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Drew McIntyre’s WWE status as well as other contracts which expire in 2024 as we hear more.
