An update has emerged regarding Drew McIntyre potentially joining the War Games team.

On this week’s Raw, the announcement was finally made that this year’s Survivor Series will see the War Games stipulation return for a second consecutive year. As of now, the lineups are currently set to feature the babyface side of Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins taking on The Judgment Day and JD McDonagh.

However, many people have pointed out that War Games has been 5 v 5 in the past, which has fuelled speculation over whether we could see more participants added to either side. Now, per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer, it’s said that Drew McIntyre is ‘under consideration’ to join the heel team, meaning that another member would have to even up the odds for the other side.

“The men’s War Games match right now is listed as having Seth Rollins & Sami Zayn & Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso vs. Damian Priest & Dominik Mysterio & Finn Balor & JD McDonagh. There were reports that this will change and McIntyre will be part of the Judgment Day team. I was just told that this is under consideration and could happen. That would lead to someone having to be added to the other side. “

Of course, Drew’s participation in the match is not final by any means, but him potentially joining The Judgment Day’s team suggests that WWE might be ready to pull the trigger on a McIntyre heel turn, something which has been rumoured for some time.

Currently, there’s no indication as to who could stand alongside the babyface team should the Scotsman enter the two rings on November 25.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the participants for this year’s Survivor Series War Games match as we hear more.
