In the build up to AEW’s most recent PPV All Out, Stokely Hathaway began recruiting a number of stars for an unknown purpose, with W Morrisey, Ethan Page, The Gunn Club, and Lee Moriarty having all taken up Hathaway’s offer. At the show itself, the group’s purpose was revealed as, the faction now known as The Firm disrupted the Casino Ladder match, allowing a returning MJF to enter as The Joker and claim the future world title opportunity.
During a recent interview with Comicbook, Ethan Page revealed that each member of the stable was handpicked by MJF himslef. Additionally, he noted that he feels as though he’s been utilised to a greater extent since joining the stable, comparing his current trajectory to the one he was on as a member of American Top Team.
“He handpicked everybody, this was a very much a project that had MJF’s fingerprints all over it. I’ve had more opportunities to speak. I’ve been put in a spotlight more. Stokely Hathaway will happily take a back seat to Ethan Page. I don’t know if Dan Lambert and Scorpio Sky would say the same.”

During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, MJF praised Page as one of the most underrated wrestlers in the company. Page had a chance to respond to this notion during his interview with Comicbook, highlighting how valuable this praise is to him.
“It’s a great pat on the back. He’s an opinion that people value, especially in the professional wrestling world, and he’s the biggest star in All Elite Wrestling. To have the biggest dog say your name is always a good thing.”

MJF is scheduled to take on Wheeler Yuta on tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite, whilst Page has made his intentions clear that he’s gunning for the All Atlantic Championship, and thus a showdown with Death Triangle’s Pac may be on the cards for the near future.
