There has seemingly been some interest from AEW in one of the recent WWE releases.
On September 21st, 2023, WWE released many talents, including Dolph Ziggler, Mustafa Ali, Shelton Benjamin, and more.
Since then, there has been speculation about where these talents will appear once they are free from their no-compete clauses. Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) recently announced that he will be competing on January 20th at the WWC show in Puerto Rico.
In addition to this, according to sources in AEW, many within the company have been pushing for the signing of Nic Nemeth, and there have been multiple creative pitches made for him. One of the pitches included him being one of CJ Perry’s clients.
It’s important to note that we have not been informed of any negotiations happening yet, as he is still under his no-compete. No pen has been put to paper; we have only heard of creative pitches within AEW at this stage.
