Few People In WWE Were Reportedly Told About Will Kroos’ NXT Debut

Will Kroos’ WWE NXT debut came as a surprise to many.
This week’s episode of NXT saw a number of talents make their debut on the brand, including UK standout Will Kroos, who landed an impressive moonsault on Tony D’Angelo after an attack from Tavion Heights.
According to BodySlam, Will Kroos’ WWE debut was a moment that very few people were aware of ahead of time, with knowledge kept limited to WWE’s NXT management, producers, and the talent involved.
“Sources indicate to Bodyslam that only a select few people were aware of Will Kroos making his debut last night. Those with knowledge of Kroos’ debut included NXT management, producers, and talent involved in the segment.”

Will Kroos made his professional wrestling debut on May 26, 2017, and arrives in WWE as a former PROGRESS Atlas Championship holder. In addition to his work with PROGRESS Wrestling and across the UK independent scene, including RevPro, Kroos has also made several appearances for Pro Wrestling Noah in Japan over the past two years.
The attacks from Tavion Heights and Will Kroos on Tony D’Angelo followed the WWE debut of former IWGP Heavyweight Championship holder EVIL, who presented yet another gift to the NXT Championship holder before the beatdown ensued.
Despite maintaining his presentation from his time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, reports indicate that WWE have yet to decide on a new ring name for EVIL. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Will Kroos following his WWE debut as soon as we hear more.
