Former AEW Wrestler “The Butcher” Andy Williams Dies At 48

Known to fans as “The Butcher”, Andy Williams has passed away.
After suffering a medical emergency during a match last night in Pennsylvania, former AEW wrestler Andy Williams, aka The Butcher, has sadly passed away. Williams’ death occurred following a tag team match with his partner The Blade at an Enjoy Wrestling event in Millvale, PA. Williams collapsed during the match, causing the entire event to be canceled.
After hours of uncertainty, TMZ confirmed the unfortunate news, noting that Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office had informed them of Williams’ death, taking place on Saturday night.
Williams wrestled for All Elite Wrestling for several years alongside his tag team partner, The Blade, as part of “The Butcher and The Blade”. Tributes from across the world of wrestling have been pouring in all day, with AEW themselves releasing a statement earlier today.
Outside of wrestling, Williams was also a guitarist for the band Every Time I Die. He was 48-years-old.
