The Briscoes and FTR will finally meet for in ring action at the upcoming ROH Supercard of Honor on Friday April 1st, 2022.

After being given permission to run the show by WarnerMedia, Tony Khan announced FTR as the challengers for The Briscoes’ ROH Tag Team Titles. Supercard of Honor takes place over Wrestlemania weekend, the same night as AEW Rampage.

The Briscoes obtained the ROH Tag Team Titles for the 12th time at Final Battle in December, defeating Matt Taven & Mike Bennett in Baltimore, Maryland. FTR made a surprise appearance after the match to attack The Briscoes.

This announcement puts to bed the long asked question of when the top tag teams would meet. Since December of 2021 the two have exchanged shots on social media.

It was made apparent that a match between The Briscoes and FTR was ruled out in AEW soon after a report emerged that WarnerMedia was against signing The Briscoes due to past homophobic remarks made by Jay Briscoe on Twitter. Jay and Mark Briscoe have apologized repeatedly for the remarks again recently.
