WWE Hall Of Famer, Golberg’s name still holds a lot of weight in wrestling. That is something WWE and Vince McMahon have capitalised on a number of times, with the former WCW megastar making sporadic appearances over the past few years.

Goldberg’s last match in WWE came against Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber. The match served its purpose as the Tribal Chief vanquished an opponent he was supposed to face a couple years back at WrestleMania. Goldberg is still contracted to WWE, so naturally there is speculation about another potential match.

The Icon discussed a return to the squared circle, as well as potential opponents while speaking to Bleacher Report.

“I think Riddle and I have had a little bit of a controversial past. I’d love to pop him in the face a couple of times,” he said. “But I owe Roman something, for sure. I’d always like to get Brock again, but, you know, hey, beggars can’t be choosers. Hey, if it happens it happens, and if not, I just got to deal with it. I’ll catch them on the street or something.”

In a separate interview with the New York Post, the former World Heavyweight Champion gave the classic ‘never say never’ response with respect to an in-ring return.

“I suppose you never retire in the wrestling world until you’re dead, so, who knows,”

A section of fans who prioritise in-ring work over all else are unlikely to be pleased with another Goldberg match. But the fact remains that he is a huge name in an industry that is lacking in them and his aura remains special so another match would be a welcome sight.
