More has come out regarding Hangman Page’s worked ankle injury.
Coming out of the February 21 edition of AEW Dynamite, concern was high for Hangman Page. The 32-year-old had landed awkwardly after a Muscle Buster before rolling to the outside holding his ankle. He even told a cameraman to stop filming him for fear of a potential injury. However, it came out via Fightful Select later that Page was okay and that the situation was a work.
To provide an update on why Hangman expressed frustration over a potential injury, Dave Meltzer has written in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Page may have to miss AEW Revolution due to a personal issue, and so giving the impression he may be injured leaves the door open for him to miss the show if needed.
“It was said that due to a personal issue that he may not be able to make the show so they shot the angle as an explanation if needed.”

As it stands, the main event of AEW Revolution on March 3 is still set to be a three-way match between Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page, but it now wouldn’t be surprising should it be changed to a one-on-one clash if Page is unable to make the show.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Hangman Page’s AEW Revolution status as soon as we hear more.
