Ittenyon (Jan 4) is the biggest day for Pro Wrestling in Japan, and for the first time, STARDOM has a major show on January 4th in the Tokyo Dome City Hall show right before Wrestle Kingdom. In front of a sold-out crowd, STARDOM presented seven matches with mainly fun undercard tag team matches. The first interest match on paper was the battle between Divine Kingdom and Suzu Suzuki & Giulia. They went all out in this match, and delivered a great match, with Megan being close to beating Giulia until the bell rang and the time limit expired.
The biggest news on this show happened after the semi-main event where Giulia announced that Donna del Mondo would disband after today. The reason why they disbanded is because when DDM was founded Syuri-Giulia-Maika promised that every of them would do their best in their own ways and with Maika winning the Red Belt, they feel like they fulfilled their mission. Thekla said after that she would take a break from STARDOM, but come back stronger than ever before. Backstage she mentioned that her body is at its limit and she wants to do more artwork after being in Japan for the past four years.
In the main event, Mayu Iwatani retained her IWGP Women’s Heavyweight Championship for the third time against Syuri in a bit under 20 minutes with the Poisonrana from the top rope. The two threw bomb after bomb for the entire match time, with some of the loudest kicks and headbutts in STARDOM. Unreal performances by both, with Iwatani walking out as the winner.
