Jack Perry has reportedly finished up with NJPW.

Ever since the controversy of the backstage altercation at All In: London, Jack Perry hasn’t been seen in AEW. As it turned out, the 26-year-old was absent from the ring for over six months, before later showing up in NJPW, where he competed in the New Japan Cup and most recently competed in Chicago against Shota Umino. However, it now appears as if his time in Japan is over for now.

Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that Windy City Riot was Jack Perry’s final New Japan appearance, with his AEW return now considered to be imminent.

This was Perry’s final New Japan match and he’s starting imminently in AEW.”

Many speculated that Perry’s return will coincide with The Young Bucks’ ladder match with FTR for the vacant AEW World Tag Team Championships this Sunday at Dynasty, with the EVPs making various references to ‘The Scapegoat’ and showing the backstage footage from All In recently, though it remains to be seen as to whether this is how his AEW return is carried out.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Jack Perry’s AEW return as soon as we hear more.
