‘Switchblade’ Jay White was reportedly not thrilled with how his feud with MJF panned out.

Last Saturday, Jay White unsuccessfully challenged MJF for the AEW World Championship in the main event of Full Gear. White’s loss came despite the fact that his allies in Bullet Club Gold had ambushed the champion earlier in the next, leaving him to battle through an inflicted knee injury which saw him return from being taken to hospital as part of the night-long storyline.

While the live crowd were happy to see MJF retain, the Full Gear main event left a bad taste in the mouth of a large portion of viewers, as many feel as if the champion shouldn’t have been able to overcome such dire odds to retain his title. Now, per Wade Keller of PWTorch, it’s believed that the AEW fans weren’t the only ones who were off-put by what went down, as it’s believed that Jay White also ‘wasn’t thrilled’ with what happened during his feud with MJF.

“White wasn’t thrilled, based on what I’ve been told, how things went with the build and the match against MJF, so he might be motivated to shine in this tournament. He’s still among the top choices for Tony Khan to build around as a top-top star in his company for years to come.”

As referenced by Keller, White now finds himself in the midst of the Continental Classic, AEW’s round robin tournament. The 31-year-old is in the gold block and has already picked up a win as he looks to bounce back from his loss at Full Gear.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Jay White post-Full Gear as we hear more.
