Jim Ross is a big fan of AEW President Tony Khan.

Since All Elite Wrestling’s inception, Jim Ross has been a key member of the promotion’s broadcast team. Originally serving as the lead commentator on its three-man announce desk, Ross’ appearances have become increasingly infrequent in recent years due to health issues. As of writing, the Oklahoma native now primarily calls matches at major events and marquee showdowns. Throughout everything Ross has gone through, he has continued to express a great deal of appreciation for AEW boss Tony Khan.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Ross shared his thoughts on Tony Khan and admitted that he wishes he was able to contribute more to AEW.

“Tony Khan’s been a blessing in my life, and I certainly appreciate his support. I wish I could be more help and I wish I could do more. And I’m working on that.”

Prior to joining AEW, Ross was best known for his various runs in WWE between 1993 and 2011. He was most closely associated with Monday Night Raw as its lead commentator while also holding backstage roles in talent relations and recruitment.

Outside of WWE, “Good Ol’ JR” also worked for promotions including NWA and Jim Crockett Promotions, and later enjoyed a stint with NJPW during the 2010s.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Jim Ross’ future with All Elite Wrestling as soon as we hear more.
