Kazuchika Okada is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the history of New Japan Pro Wrestling. The 35-year-old has a match catalogue that could arguably stack up against almost any other in the history of the wrestling business. At a recent press event for “Black Adam” in Japan, Okada mentioned a name that would elevate that list even higher.

Okada worked on the Japanese dubbed version of the film “Black Adam”, which stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and attended a press event to promote the film which releases in Japan on December 2nd.

At the event, the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion was asked if there was any interest in getting in the ring with the film’s leading man.

“It looks like he can fight. He looks like he can do it [Okada joked about the Black Adam figure]. I think we can have a match… Well, as a fellow pro wrestler, I’d like to have a match with him [Dwayne Johnson].”

While it’s been more than 8 years since The Rock has competed in a WWE ring (the last time being a six-second squash win against Erick Rowan), Okada seemingly believes “The Great One” can still lace up the boots.

Kazuchika Okada is set to challenge for Jay White’s IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at January’s NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.
