Kenny Omega Swears He’ll Defend The AEW World Title At All In: London
Kenny Omega aims to be AEW World Champion “foreseeable future”.
To close this week’s Dynamite, Kevin Knight got one over on Kenny Omega by making the AEW World Champion bleed just dats before challenging for the gold this Sunday at Redemption. With many suitors chasing the title, “The Best Bout Machine” will have one eye on “The Jet” while also keeping All In: London in the back of his mind, with a third match with Will Ospreay possibly just 38 days away. Now, it seems Omega is ready for all-comers.
Shared by AEW’s official account on X, Kenny Omega took a microphone after cameras had stopped rolling, having some words for Kevin Knight, while also promising that he’ll still be the champion going into AEW All In: London next month.
“So, I’m gonna make two promises for each and every one of you here tonight, and I can make this promise because I know we’re officially off the air so I can say almost anything I want. Promise number one, if you be a betting man, I wouldn’t bet on Kevin Knight taking this belt on Sunday. If you was also a betting man, I would also put quite a wad of cash on me protecting this belt at Wembley.”

Of course, while another match between Omega and Ospreay has been the talk of the wrestling world since ‘The Cleaner’ recaptured the home, it’s unfair to look past Knight prior to his title challenge this Sunday. In fact, AEW’s Owner and CEO Tony Khan recently described Redemption’s main event as ‘must-see’, labelling ‘The Jet’ as a future world champion. You can read more about that here.
Still, fans will have their eye on another match between “The Aerial Assassin” and “The God Of Pro Wrestling”. After all, the last two times that these wrestlers met, once in the Tokyo Dome via Wrestle Kingdom and once in Canada via Forbidden Door, the matches they had were instant classics. This time around, the pair could be fighting for the AEW Men’s World Championship, and given how the company has handled the belt this year, with MJF and Darby Allin’s back-to-back reigns each lasting less than 46 days, it’s a true toss-up who will win and walk out of Wembley as champion.
