Kyle Fletcher vs. Will Ospreay Made Official for AEW Full Gear

A huge AEW World Title match is set for Full Gear.

AEW announced that Will Ospreay will defend his AEW World Championship against Kyle Fletcher on November 14 at AEW Full Gear. This will be the first time the two have locked up in a singles match since their steel cage match at AEW Revolution in March of 2025.

On last night’s Dynamite, Fletcher officially announced his intention to challenge for the world title. After defeating Jungle Jack Perry, Fletcher took the mic and sitting on the shoulders of Jake Doyle and Mark Davis, outlining his aim to become champion.

“If you all remember correctly, I have beaten Will Ospreay at Full Gear before. And I’m going to do it again. So Ospreay! I dare you to put the AEW World Championship on the line, because as far as I’m concerned, I’m the uncrowned AEW World Champion. Nobody in this company, nobody in this business can touch me right now. I am the best! I am the best and at Full Gear, I am going to prove it.”

-Kyle Fletcher

Ospreay currently holds a 3-1 record against Fletcher in AEW, however it was that one loss at Full Gear in 2024 that really began Fletcher’s rise to becoming one of the best wrestlers in AEW, and the world.

Both men have a long history with one another, as it can be argued that Ospreay helped put Fletcher on the map in the first place when he brought him in to the United Empire alongside his Aussie Open tag partner, Mark Davis, back in September of 2021.
