More has emerged regarding the condition of Liv Morgan

This past Friday night on SmackDown, it was revealed that Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez would have to vacate their Women’s Tag Team Championships due to Morgan’s recent shoulder injury. The pair held the titles for just 39 days and there will now be a fatal four way bout on Raw to determine a new set of tag team champions.

To clarify the situation, Dave Meltzer has written in the Wrestling Observer that Morgan’s injury is worse than had originally been expected. In fact, the star may be needing surgery to repair her shoulder, however, this is yet to be confirmed.

“Morgan had a shoulder injury that ended up worse than originally expected. There was word that she may require surgery, but that wasn’t a given and no word how that affects her planned role in a movie on Mildred Burke.”

– Dave Meltzer

There is no word on how long fans can expect the 28-year-old to be out of action for, or whether this will change her upcoming film role. With Raquel Rodriguez already set to team with Shotzi to attempt to reclaim the tag titles on Monday’s Raw, what Morgan will do upon her return remains to be seen.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any updates on Liv Morgan and get injury as we hear more.
