Lyra Valkyria Says She Has Absolutely No Regrets At All About Her Career

Lyra Valkyria has no regrets about her career.

Having signed with the company just before the pandemic hit, Lyra Valkyria certainly hasn’t had a straightforward time in WWE. While trying to find her feet in NXT UK, she suffered a torn ACL in 2021, returning around a year later and being moved to NXT’s main show after the closure of its British-based counterpart. Despite her struggles, it seems the Irish star doesn’t look back with any regrets.

While speaking to The Toronto Sun, Lyra Valkyria reflected on her career, saying everything so far has put her where she needs to be.

“I have absolutely no regrets at all. I feel like everything has put me exactly where I am now. So just even looking back at the journey, God, I’ve done two WrestleManias now. It feels like I was in NXT yesterday and it feels like I was taking my first bumps in Bray in Ireland the day before that. So I don’t know, it all happened so fast, and it goes by in the blink of an eye. So I’m really just kind of grateful and excited and happy with where I’m at, and especially with how fast everything has happened so far. I have no idea where it means we might be in six months, in a year, you know? So it’s kind of just trying to hold on to the roller coaster as long as I can.”

Now a key member of the Monday Night RAW roster, Lyra Valkyria became the first to ever hold the Women’s Intercontinental Championship in January 2025. Having been betrayed by her short-term tag team partner Becky Lynch, the two Irish stars feuded over the gold across the summer to put the title on the map.

Despite Valkyria’s WrestleMania success alongside Lynch last year, she’s yet to win gold with her regular partner Bayley. Still, the championships remain the ultimate goal for the team moving forward.
