MAO To Defend KO-D Openweight Title Against Chris Brookes On November 3

Chris Brookes is set for a clash with MAO.

KO-D Openweight Champion MAO will defend his title against his longtime rival Chris Brookes in the main event of DDT Ultimate Party 2026 on November 3. The match was confirmed during DDT’s event on Sunday from Korakuen Hall.

Their clash will be the eight time these two have competed in singles competition, and the seventh in DDT. Over the course of their DDT series, MAO holds a 4-2 advantage.

The match was previously requested by MAO after he beat both Fuminori Abe and Ilision in subsequent challenges back on September 21.

This big main event clash will be a big test for MAO as he will try to fill up the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo for the first time as champion. He has previously fought in two main event matches in this arena, however it will be the first as the face of the promotion.

The rest of this seismic show will sport a currently-listed 11 other matches, including two other title bouts and many “special” matches. The show will be watchable live on Wrestle Universe on November 3.

  • Dramatic Dream Match: Shinya Aoki vs. Zack Sabre Jr. (This will be Aoki’s first match as a signed DDT wrestler)
