Max Caster Praises Tony Khan, Says Anthony Bowens Remains With AEW
Max Caster speaks on Tony Khan and the AEW status of Anthony Bowens.
The past few weeks have been turbulent for Max Caster, who left AEW after his contract expired at the beginning of October. He subsequently joined TNA and made his debut at Bound For Glory, only to be released 24 hours later over the content of a rap he performed. The former AEW World Tag Team Champion then returned to the independent circuit, where he revealed that he was undergoing therapy and planned to step away from wrestling for a while, though he’s now reflected on Tony Khan’s support.
Making a stop at K & S WrestleFest, Caster first gave a shoutout to Tony Khan for supporting wrestlers’ living, noting he still lives off AEW money.
“I always gotta shout out Tony Khan because he’s supporting a lot of wrestlers’ living right now, including me. I’m still living off AEW money. That’s a guy who, for whatever reason in his heart, is supporting wrestling and supporting wrestlers.”

Another person Caster spoke about was his old tag team partner Anthony Bowens, who he said was still working with AEW amid speculation over his status with the promotion.
“He’s still there. Yeah [he’s still with AEW]. I don’t want to speak for him too much, but he still works there.”
-Max Caster
Similarly to the situation with Max Caster, Anthony Bowens’ AEW contract reportedly expired at the start of October, leaving his future in wrestling uncertain. Though Caster indicated his former tag partner is still there, the star hasn’t appeared on AEW television in recent weeks, including during a promo segment featuring The Opps, meaning many are still questioning his future.
Bowens’ last match for the promotion took place on August 30 at All In London, where he teamed with Hook, Katsuyori Shibata and Action Andretti in an eight-man tag team match on the pre-show.
