‘The CEO’ was reportedly likely to feature on AEW’s biggest ever show prior to getting hurt.
Ahead of this past Sunday’s AEW All In event at Wembley Stadium, former IWGP Women’s Champion and multi-time WWE Women’s Champion Mercedes Moné took to Twitter to reveal that she was in London, sparking speculation that she could appear during the show.
Whilst Mercedes didn’t get involved in an in-ring capacity, likely due to injury, she was shown on screen multiple times throughout the broadcast. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now revealed that Moné likely would’ve featured on the card if not for her ankle injury, although it was noted that she could work some dates with the company upon her return.
“Mercedes Mone was shown in the crowd twice. The story we had heard was that she was likely to wrestle on this show before her injury. Being shown twice indicates that she’s probably going to do at least some dates here upon her return.”

PWInsider reported earlier this week that had it not been for the aforementioned injury, Mercedes would’ve likely debuted for AEW on the Blood and Guts episode of Dynamite at the TD Garden in her hometown of Boston earlier this year, and it appears as though it’ll only be a matter of time before she steps foot in an AEW ring.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Mercedes Moné’s status with AEW as soon as we hear more.
