Last night saw another strong PPV showing for Impact Wrestling, as they presented their ‘Under Siege’ event.
One headline that arose during the show was the return of Mia Yim, who hasn’t wrestled for IMPACT since 2017. Yim had spent 2018-2021 working within WWE across both NXT & the main roster as a member of Retribution, before being released in November of last year.
Fightful Select have now provided an update on the contractual status of Yim following last night’s event, with the HBIC’s appearance not believed to be a one off.
“As first reported by Laredo Kid, Mia Yim appeared for IMPACT Wrestling tonight at Under Siege after years away from the company. Fightful Select has learned this is not a one off, and Mia has signed with the company. Yim had been very selective of her wrestling appearances since her WWE release and had only competed a couple of times.”

Yim performed as Jade during her previous stint in IMPACT, although last night’s event indicated that she wouldn’t be returning to the Jade character, and instead will be presented as Mia Yim moving forward.
We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Yim in IMPACT, with their Knockouts division providing a number of interesting match ups and feuds for her to sink her teeth into.
