After being slated to make an appearance at Fanfest, AEW star Maxwell Jacob Friedman was noticeably missing from the event, according to a recent article by PWInsider.
According to the article, the word going around Fanfest is that MJF legitimately didn’t show up, and that AEW was unable to reach him. In an attempt make it up to fans that had paid for autographs from and photos with MJF, AEW staff offered exchanges to other talents within their promotion.
MJF is scheduled to face Wardlow tomorrow at Double or Nothing.
There have also been tweets from fans saying Samoa Joe did not show up either, but we are waiting to see if we hear any more:
