A deal is reportedly in the works for the Motor City Machine Guns to sign with AEW.

Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley of the Motor City Machine Guns became free agents on April 1 when their contracts with TNA Wrestling came to an end. As of yet, the pair haven’t found their new home, but speculation has been rampant regarding their next move, and there has now been an indication as to a where they may show up next.

Per Cassidy Haynes of BodySlam.net, it’s believed that the Motor City Machine Guns are will headed to AEW, and, while a deal is yet to be finalised, it will be worked out.

“After speaking to sources, I can now confirm that the Motor City Machine Guns are headed to AEW. Sources have told me that AEW and The Motor City Machine Guns are working on finalizing a deal. It was noted that the deal is not going to be finalized for a bit. However, the decision has been made and a deal will be worked out.”

The Motor City Machine Guns are regarded as one of the best tag teams of their generation, and were cornerstones of TNA during their time there. They have three reigns as the IMPACT World Tag Team Champions under their belt, and will surely be a huge get for All Elite Wrestling if and when they are able to finalise the deal to bring Sabin and Shelley into the company.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on AEW working to sign the Motor City Machine Guns as soon as we hear more.
