Mustafa Ali’s current deal is reportedly up at the end of the year.

In January 2026, Mustafa Ali officially re-signed with TNA just days before the company announced their AMC deal. The 40-year-old has been a key part of the promotion since his arrival, winning the X-Division title less than a month after his debut and becoming one of the company’s most reliable in-ring stars. Now, an update has emerged on Ali’s current contract status with TNA.

According to Fightful Select, Mustafa Ali’s TNA deal is set to expire at the end of December.

“Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that former TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali’s contract is up at the end of 2026.”

The report notes that TNA will likely make an offer to retain his services, particularly as Ali has been informally acting as a scout for the company while working across the independent scene. In fact, it was mentioned that the former International Champion had referred some talent directly to TNA management during his tenure.

Plus, short-term contracts have been nothing out of the ordinary for Ali since he made his TNA debut. He first appeared in January 2024, just three months after his WWE release, though his initial run lasting until that August. He returned to the promotion in 2025, and, as mentioned, re-signed at the start of this year. For now, though, whether he puts pen to paper on another extension remains to be seen.
