The former IWGP Women’s Champion, Mercedes Monè could be closer to making her AEW debut.
This past Sunday, AEW made their UK debut at the historic Wembley Stadium, as over 80,000 fans flocked to the capital to see All In, the company’s biggest show to date. A few hours prior to the show starting, former multi-time WWE Women’s Champion and current Bushiroad contracted star Mercedes Moné took to Twitter to reveal that she was in London, sparking speculation that she could have some sort of involvement at the show.
Whilst Moné wasn’t involved in an in-ring capacity or set up a future angle, she was shown on screen throughout the night, and Fightful Select have reported that Moné and AEW have had recent conversations about working together, with one source hinting that a deal is already in the works.
“Fightful Select can confirm there have been recent conversations between the two sides and that she’s “open” to appearing, with one source even showing heavy optimism that the two sides will be working together. Another source spoke as if it was in the works.”

PWInsider also provided their own insight into the status of Mercedes Moné in AEW, revealing first that she was spotted backstage wearing a heavy walking boot and was shown sitting in the crowd on camera as to hide this.
The report then adds that there is a backstage expectation that when Mercedes is cleared, she’ll be coming in for appearances and would’ve likely already have debuted at the TD Garden in her hometown of Boston earlier this Summer had she not have been injured
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Mercedes Moné potentially appearing in AEW as soon as we hear more.
