With Wrestlemania 38 right around the corner, one of the most anticipated matches of this weekend has been the clash between Edge and AJ Styles.
A recent heel turn from Edge in the build-up to this Mania encounter has seen him embrace a much darker side to his character than viewers have seen since his 2020 Royal Rumble return.
On top of a change in attitude, Edge debuted a new entrance theme in the form of Alter Bridge’s “The Other Side”, replacing his iconic “Metalingus” theme of the same band.
A recent report from Fightful Select indicates that this may not be the only change to Edge’s presentation, with WWE planning on introducing a new stable to be led by the “Rated R Superstar”.
“We’re told there has been a particular pitch that has been talked about heavily from the creative side of things that would see Edge get a new stable. There have been several notable names that have been discussed for the group, including former WWE United States Champion Damian Priest.

Damian Priest is currently not set to feature on this weekend’s Wrestlemania, instead being announced for tonight’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on Smackdown. Whilst unconfirmed, there is potential for the plans for this reported faction to be set in motion as early as tonight, with Fightful going on to mention that these plans “could begin to happen imminently”.
With Edge and AJ Styles’ Wrestlemania showdown just two days away, we may not have to wait long to discover who else may join Edge and Priest, although as it stands, other names for the group are currently unknown.
