The former AEW World Tag Team Champions looks set to form a new heel unit.

This past Saturday at AEW Full Gear, The Golden Jets (Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho) defeated The Young Bucks, thus taking their guaranteed shot at the AEW World Tag Team Titles. Following the match, the Bucks began throwing somewhat of a tantrum at ringside, prompting many fans to speculate that a fully-fledged heel turn is incoming for the duo.

This appears to be the plan, as Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that Brandon Cutler is set to join The Young Bucks in a new heel stable, with Colt Cabana also having been mentioned as a potential member.

“They look to be doing a heel group with Brandon Cutler. Colt Cabana’s name has been mentioned but that doesn’t appear to be a certainty. The idea is for them to take some time off and come back as heels with major impact. It’s in the beginning stages and there’s no known time frame on when they will pull the trigger on it and they will return. BTE is also apparently going on hiatus during this period.”

As highlighted by Meltzer, Being The Elite is expected to go on hiatus throughout this latest arch for The Young Bucks, with Brandon Cutler having confirmed as much on Twitter on the pair’s behalf earlier this week.

As of writing, it’s unclear as to when The Young Bucks’ heel turn will officially commence, however as always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates as soon as we hear more.

UPDATE:

Dave Meltzer has since updated saying that BTE is not on hiatus and is actually done.
