The estimate of how many PPV Buys AEW got this past weekend for their All Out PPV has now reportedly been revealed.
The show was headlined by two of the company’s very top stars, CM Punk & Jon Moxley, as they competed for the AEW World Championship. Other big name matches included Chris Jericho vs Bryan Danielson, the recently returned Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks taking on Hangman & The Dark Order, amongst many other strong matches that filled the card.
A lot of what taken place in the ring was overshadowed by CM Punk’s fired up media scrum after the show, leading to a fight that took place backstage between Punk, Ace Steel & The Elite. Many members of the roster have been suspended by AEW and there is a third party investigation into the situation. The titles all men involved held (World & Trios) were also vacated.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, we now have an estimate of how many PPV buys the All Out Show was able to generate:
“For the most important PPV number, we have less info at this point than usual but based on U.S. cable/satellite numbers and comparisons with the last two shows would give us a number between 135,000 and 142,000.”
– Dave Meltzer
The show is down from last years All Out PPV (205,000 buys) but that was always expected as the 2021 PPV featured the returning CM Punk in his first match in 7 years.
