Paul Heyman has been absent from SmackDown since July and details have now reportedly come out regarding his status.

At SummerSlam 2022, Paul Heyman got caught in the carnage. The feud took up almost an entire year of WWE between August 2021 and July 2022 with Heyman stuck in the middle between his current and previous clients. At one point in the truly insane war, Brock Lesnar put his former advocate through the announce table with an F5.

Roman Reigns’ ‘Wise Man’ is yet to return to SmackDown as he continues to sell the injuries caused by his table bump. Though, Dave Meltzer has revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Heyman has still been present backstage at SmackDown and the major events but the company are waiting to give him a ‘dynamic’ on-screen return.

“Heyman is still at all the Smackdowns and major events but is not going to appear on camera until they probably give him a dynamic return”

-WON.

We don’t know when this will be but, with The Bloodline adding a new member in Solo Sikoa last weekend, it’ll be interesting to see what the reintroduction of Heyman looks like and how he interactions with the addition.
