New reported details have emerged about the aftermath backstage at the AEW ALL OUT post show media scrum following the report that The Elite may be returning to All Elite Wrestling “imminently.”

Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc. reached out to CM Punk’s camp for comment about The Elite’s imminent return to the company and received one.

Hausman reported that AEW has not reached out to Punk since the backstage incident at the AEW All Out post show media scrum where Punk and his trainer and friend, Ace Steel, reportedly got into a brawl with The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks).

Sources told WrestlingINC that Punk was advised to stay quiet after the incident and agreed to do so. Hausman also added that Punk’s camp believed the comments made on Colt Cabana, “Hangman” Adam Page and The Elite at the All Out Post show didn’t seem like a big deal but only escalated once Punk’s locker room door was “kicked in” leading to Larry, Punk’s dog, being accidentally hit in the face.

Also according to the report, Punk at a pre-scheduled veterinarian appointment for Larry a few days later was told that two of Larry’s teeth had been knocked loose and had to be removed.

Hausman also added in his report that Punk felt threatened and reacted in a legal manner per his camp. Punk reportedly used the IIllinois’ Castle Doctrine laws, “which allow for the use of force in defense of a person in their dwelling.”

At the current moment there is no litigation against Punk on behalf of any of the parties involved. Nick Hausman was able to find out more on Ace Steel’s wife who was reportedly in the room when the backstage incident occurred but has not been interviewed as part of the internal investigation.

One final aspect that Hausman found as part of his report was that following “Hangman” Adam Page’s comments on the May episode of Dynamite alluding to backstage issues with Punk, there was distrust on Punk’s side going into their AEW World Title match at Double or Nothing. Punk was concerned that the pre-determined match could turn into a real physical altercation in the ring.
