Reported Spoiler On WWE WrestleMania 42 Return

A major former WWE name is believed to have re-signed with the company in time for WrestleMania 42.

On the March 27 SmackDown, Nikki Bella unfortunately suffered an ankle injury in a win over Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. The Bellas were initially set to be one of four teams in this Saturday’s Women’s Tag Team Championship four-way match, though doubt was cast over their involvement with it unclear whether Nikki would be cleared in time for the ‘Show Of Shows’. Now, while it unfortunately seems as if she’ll miss the event, her absence may lead to a shocking return.

According to an update from PWInsider, it’s believed Paige has signed with WWE, with it noted she’s set to replace Nikki Bella on WrestleMania Saturday.

“PWInsider.com is told that Saraya Jade-Bevis, known as Paige during her original run for the company, has signed to return as a wrestler for World Wrestling Entertainment and is expected to return to the ring this weekend as part of Wrestlemania 42. The belief among those we have spoken with is that Saraya, as Paige, will be part of Saturday’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Fatal Four Way, substituting for Nikki Bella who has not been cleared to return from the ankle injury suffered several weeks back on Smackdown.  We are told WWE secreted Paige into Las Vegas and while she has been hidden, she was seen taking part in a run through for the match earlier this week.”

Should Paige be the one to fill the absence left by Nikki Bella, it’ll be the Brit’s first match for WWE since December 2017. That night, she suffered what was thought to be a career-ending injury, which kept her out of the ring until she stepped through the ropes for All Elite Wrestling in 2022.

The star announced her AEW departure in March 2025, and, although she’s made no wrestling appearances since leaving the promotion, links with a WWE return have circulated for over a year. Any appearance this weekend would be her first in-ring in around 18 months.
