There has been plenty of confusion lately surrounding Karl Anderson but he’s still expected to work in Japan.
Currently, there seems to be a tug of war going on between WWE and New Japan over ‘Machine Gun’ Karl Anderson. Both companies booked to the star to compete on November 5 but Anderson himself has stated that he won’t be in Japan on that date and will instead honour his WWE commitments in Saudi Arabia.
This has obviously prompted lots of confusion over the last couple of weeks. Many fans have wondered what the relationship is like between the two companies after some apparent tension, but, a new report from Fightful Select has stated that there remains plans for Anderson to work in NJPW and that the Japanese company was aware of The Good Brothers’ move to WWE as long ago as August.
“Fightful is told there still are and always have been active plans for Karl Anderson to compete in NJPW. We haven’t heard an update on the title itself, but that NJPW does expect Anderson to fulfill additional dates, which WWE was fine with.
Beyond that, we’re told that New Japan has been aware that Anderson and Gallows were heading to WWE as far back as August,”

The relationship between WWE and NJPW seems to be cooperative. This is a good sign for fans of New Japan who, without the presence of Anderson, would’ve potentially seen the NEVER Openweight Championship vacated.
