An update has emerged on Ricochet’s condition following Raw.

On the most recent edition of Monday Night Raw, many were perplexed by the finish to the four-way between Ricochet, Bronson Reed, Ivar and The Miz. The confusion was brought on when, during a double pin, Ricochet clearly lifted his shoulder off the mat, leaving the A-Lister as the clear winner of the match, despite commentators suggesting that the kick out hadn’t occurred.

We later learned from Dave Meltzer that Ricochet was not actually supposed to kick out from Ivar’s pin attempt, revealing that the ‘One And Only’ had been rocked early in the match. Now, in the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer has offered an update on Ricochet’s condition, stating that he’s currently feeling well but is under concussion protocol and therefore won’t be rushed back into action.

“Ricochet is believed to have had a concussion. He had no memory of anything that happened in much of the match, but other than that, was said to be feeling fine. He’s in concussion protocol, there is no time frame when he will be able to wrestle again. It could be this weekend and it could be a long time, but the hope was it wouldn’t be long.”

As mentioned, it’s currently unknown how long the 35-year-old will have to wait before getting back in the ring, though of course, we hope that it isn’t too serious and Ricochet isn’t sidelined for too long.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Ricochet and his condition as we hear more.
