Ring of Honor: Death Before Dishonor Gets Two More Title Matches Announced
Ring of Honor has added two more big title matches to Death Before Dishonor.
Thus far, Death Before Dishonor is shaping up to be a major show, with several important matches across ROH’s various championships and divisions, which you can read more about here. The event will take place on August 21 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
Two more matches were added to the card on tonight’s Ring of Honor episode, including an ROH World Television Championship Fight Without Honor between Lio Rush and Action Andretti.
The “Fight Without Honor” stipulation makes sense given the history between Lio and Andretti. The two were previously teammates in CRU, but tensions grew after Lio embraced his “Blackheart” persona, with Action feeling slighted and costing him his first attempt at winning the TV Championship.
Although Lio eventually captured the title, Andretti has continued to pursue him ever since, setting the stage for what could be a particularly brutal encounter.
The other match announced will be for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships, with reigning champions Dalton Castle and The Outrunners defending against Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson, collectively known as The Lethal Twist.
This match is particularly interesting given the current state of the trios and six-man divisions across AEW and ROH, which have both been heating up in recent months. The Lethal Twist will also have a chance to make an immediate statement, as the trio is set to challenge the AEW World Trios Champions Adam Page and Brodido on this Saturday’s Collision before turning their attention to the ROH titles.
Meanwhile, Dalton Castle and The Outrunners have become fan favorites since joining forces, making this a match where there will undoubtedly be plenty of support for the reigning champions.
Ring of Honor: Death Before Dishonor will be available on Honor Club in the United States and MyAEW for international subscribers.
