One of wrestling’s most important figures has landed himself a new role.

On top of being an exceptional professional wrestler whose in-ring prowess has only strengthened as the years have gone on, Rocky Romero is also widely considered to be one of the industry most important figures, as he plays a major role in connecting the wrestling world, with partnerships between the likes of AEW and NJPW’s Forbidden Door, IMPACTxNJPW’s Multiverse United, and the most recent relationship blossoming between AEW and CMLL all likely to have been much harder to come to without Romero.

It now appears that Romero’s influence across the wrestling landscape is only set to grow, as Dave Meltzer is now reporting on the Wrestling Observer’s Daily Update section that the 41-year-old is now a part of the AEW front office

On top of his role in building partnerships between promotions, Romero is also the primary mind behind the NJPW STRONG brand and the King of Sports’ expansion throughout the United States.

As of writing, the specifics of Romero’s new role with All Elite Wrestling are yet to be revealed, however we’ll aim to provide any further updates as soon as we hear more.
