We now have an update on Ronda Rousey’s AEW/ROH status.

This past Thursday’s episode of ROH on Honor Club saw former UFC & WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey make her debut for the promotion alongside Marina Shafir as the pair defeated ROH Women’s World Champion Athena and Billie Starkz in tag action.

Following the bout, many fans have been speculating that Rousey may be close to putting pen to paper with AEW/ROH. However, PWInsider are now reporting that there are currently no talks within the promotion regarding signing the 36-year-old, with Rousey not currently focussed on pro wrestling.

“In speaking to sources close to Rousey, we are told there are no current talks with the promotion, nor is Rousey looking to pro wrestling for her short-term future.”

The report also notes that Rousey is focused on putting her family first in the months ahead beyond promoting her upcoming memoir Our Fight, which will be released in April 2024. As a result, actively performing as a professional wrestler is not something she’s prioritising.

Regarding her appearances at Ring of Honor and Revolver, PWInsider claimed this was more to do with wanting to team with Marina Shafir, one of Rousey’s closest friends, than pursuing a return to the ring of her own.

With that being said, PWInsider also stated that the door would be open for Rousey to work with Tony Khan, or WWE, for that matter, should she wish to return to the ring.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Ronda Rousey’s next moves as soon as we hear more.
