Sami Callihan Reportedly Working As A Producer At AEW Dynamite

Sami Callihan is working for AEW after leaving TNA Wrestling.
On June 17, shortly after the confirmation of Tommy Dreamer’s departure and amid a wave of talent releases, Sami Callihan was reported to have been released by TNA Wrestling. The former Director of Live Events later confirmed the news on X.
According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam, Sami Callihan has been working backstage at AEW Dynamite for the past three weeks and is believed to have been serving as a producer for the company.
“Sources have confirmed to me that Sami Callihan has been working backstage the last three weeks for AEW’s Dynamite Tapings in Clearwater, Florida, Roanoke, Virginia and last night in Boston, Massachusetts. Sources also confirmed that Callihan will be at tonight’s AEW Collision tapings in Boston. Additionally, it was noted that Callihan has seemingly been working as a backstage producer.”

The report further notes that when asked whether Callihan had officially signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling, sources stated that “it doesn’t seem like he has a contract yet.”
Sami Callihan retired from in-ring competition in 2025. The former Impact World Champion subsequently became TNA Wrestling’s Director of Live Events while continuing to run the independent promotion Pro Wrestling REVOLVER.
