The former TNT Champion is reportedly free to return to AEW TV.
In early March of this year, Fightful Select reported that Sammy Guevara had been suspended by AEW following a match against Jeff Hardy, during which Hardy suffered a broken nose and concussion protocol was not followed, with Guevara delivering his finisher on Hardy, which shouldn’t have happened.
In today’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that Guevara’s suspension is now over, although it’s currently unclear as to when he’ll be returning to AEW television.
“Sammy Guevara is no longer suspended by AEW but there’s no word on when he’ll be cycled back into storylines. There has been stuff pitched but nothing confirmed.”

Guevara’s match against Hardy was taped on February 14th to air on the February 16th edition of AEW Rampage, with his only other televised match prior to his suspension coming in a losing effort to Powerhouse Hobbs in a No Disqualification match on the February 24th episode of AEW Collision.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Sammy Guevara as soon as we hear more.
