Sonya Deville is reportedly expected to return soon.

It has been over nine months since Sonya Deville last competed in a WWE ring. At the time of her last match, the former SmackDown general manager was one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, along with Chelsea Green, but an injury to her knee meant Deville had to be sidelined in order to have surgery.

To provide an update on Deville’s injury status, Dave Meltzer has written in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the 30-year-old has been back in training after her knee surgery and is expected to make a WWE return soon.

Deville is expected to be back soon and has been training for her return after knee surgery.”

Given the unfortunate timing of her injury, it’s possible that WWE opts to have Deville interact with her former tag team partner upon her return. Alternatively, with the draft coming up, Sonya could end up on any of the company’s three brands and look for an entirely fresh start.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Sonya Deville’s WWE return as soon as we hear more.
