The end could be near for MIRAI in STARDOM.

Since Bushiroad and STARDOM terminated the contract of Rossy Ogawa on February 4th and the former executive producer’s announcement of his intention to start his own promotion, many fans have been speculating about which STARDOM talents could be following him out the exit door, and it appears as though we may now have a clue as to one potential signee for Ogawa.

Earlier today at STARDOM’s Cinderella Tournament show in Korakuen Hall, MIRAI was eliminated in the second round by Hanan, after which, the former two-time Cinderella winner told Tokyo Sports that she’s disappointed at being unable to win the tournament for a third time, before revealing that her time is running out, seemingly hinting at her contract expiring imminently.

“This is the first time I lost in a Cinderella tournament…. But the way everyone reacted at the last moment made me feel that what I have done so far and what Hanan has done so far were not wrong. To be honest, I am disappointed that I could not win the first ever three consecutive championships, but I also feel refreshed now. I hope that Hanan will continue to go on like this. I…don’t have a lot of time. I’m going to think about what I have to do here now, and I’m going to act accordingly.

Earlier this month, Tokyo Sports confirmed that Giulia’s contract is set to expire at the end of the month, with the expectation being that she’ll assist Ogawa in starting his now promotion before making her highly anticipated move to WWE.

MIRAI is a former Wonder of Stardom Champion and currently reigns as one-third of the Artist of Stardom Champions alongside her God’s Eye stablemates Syuri and Ami Sohrei, and thus it’s worth keeping an eye on a potential title change as an indication of her departure.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of MIRAI and Rossy Ogawa’s new promotion as soon as we hear more.
